Get out your coupler (a metal ring with two short leashes attached that ‘couples’ two dogs together so you only have one leash in your hand).  Use 2 of your own dogs or borrow a friend’s dog (both dogs must have a CD, be entered in either an official class or exhibition only).  Get practicing now.  You and your team of dogs will do the Novice routine.

Veterans is a chance for your obedience dog (must have a CD, to be entered in either an official class or exhibition only and be 7 yrs or older) to do his/her stuff in the ring again.  It is wonderful to see a ring full of senior canine citizens doing a down stay!  Brings tears to your heart to see the pride glowing in each of the dogs!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING C.K.C. RULES

1. A judge officiating at an obedience trial held under C.K.C. Obedience Regulations and standards shall not be subjected to indignities of any kind during the progress of the obedience trial and it shall be the duty and the obligation of the club holding the trial to see that this Regulation is effectively carried out. The Obedience Chairman shall promptly report to the C.K.C. any infringement of the Regulation and the Board of Directors shall have the power to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report that this regulation has been violated.
2. Only those dogs registered individually or eligible for registration with the C.K.C. may enter.
3. No entries, changes or cancellations will be accepted after the published closing date. Entry forms must be complete in every respect. Exhibitors will abide by any errors made in entering the dog regardless of how or by whom the entry was made.
4. The Peterborough and District Obedience Club reserves the right to refuse any entry, subject to C.K.C. rules.
5. Entry fees will be refunded for bitches in season, provided a certification from a Veterinarian is presented to the Trial Secretary before 9:30A.M. on the day of the trial.
6. As of January 1 1993 all entries must be on the new entry form designated by the C.K.C.

Attention Foreign Exhibitors
Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian Dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in U.S. funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques " payable in Canadian funds" or "at par". they will not be accepted by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and co-operation is appreciated. Thank you

Event Registration Number

Effective January 1 1994, all dogs that are foreign born and foreign owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering C.K.C. events will no longer require a C.K.C. registration number but will require an Event Registration Number (ERN).This ERN number does not register a dog with the C.K.C. for breeding purposes as defined in The Animal Pedigree Act, but rather enables a foreign born and owned dog to be awarded titles by the C.K.C. Each dog must have it's own number.

To obtain an ERN number simply do the following: send a photocopy of the dog's registration certificate reflecting current ownership with a written request for an ERN number to the C.K.C. Include a cheque or money order in the amount of $37.45 payable to the C.K.C. An ERN must be obtained within 30 days of obtaining points,awards or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or presents a problem, please send a written request for a 30 day extension. Please forward your request to;
