Mary Anne Dunbar has been involved with Australian Shepherds for 20 years. Her first aussie, Aussie having been trained by PADOC, excelled in obedience and introduced her to a life long interest in the Sport. Mary Anne's second girl, Chelsea trialed in herding and was a wonderful companion.
Mary Anne became a breeder with her 3rd aussie, Duke. They began training in Sheep herding. He produced a lovely litter of nine pups with a beautiful female Dreamer. From that litter May Anne has 2 daughters and a granddaughter. At present she is working in the herding venue with two of her girls and in agility with the other one. Mary Anne's breeding took another direction when the Oakville Lions Foundation accepted a girl from her last litter. Christina is now the first Australian Shepherd Certified Hearing Ear Dog to graduate from their program. Mary Anne's association with these sports and her aussies have greatly enriched her life. |

Barb Hayes & her husband Brian have been dog lovers and owners for many years. They now have a mixed breed black "Golden Doodle" by the name of Brody & live in Douro-Dummer near Lakefield. Barb joined PADOC and went to classes with Pat Robertson and she fully advises dog owners to go to some sort of obedience class to help them with their pet & to better learn how the dogs think & act. Brody attained his CD at PADOC's NAMBR trial recently and are looking forward to doing Open, and Utility. Barb is a member of NAMBR and CARO and plans to continue entering Brody in these trials for mixed breed dogs. These are great forums for mixed breed dogs & are a lot of fun for everyone. Obedience classes are an excellent way to teach your dog to be a true & respectful companion & also they are a great way to network with other dog owners & their accomplishments & to let the dogs socialize with other dogs. PADOC is a great forum for teaching your dog. |
